Unique Toronto Vintage Wedding at De LaSalle College

There’s no question Danielle and Daniel are meant to be. If their names don’t give it away their beautiful De La Salle Toronto wedding certainly did. Danielle and Daniel are high school sweet hearts and the definition of love at first sight. They met and grew up in Barrie, Ontario but decided to have their wedding at De La Salle in Toronto because it fit their style so well.

It was cool fall morning and the sun was shining. We arrived to De La Salle in Toronto and parted ways as Ally made her way down the historic hallway to capture Danielle getting ready with her bridesmaids and I made my way into the pool room to capture Daniel and his groomsmen. We were made aware right away of all the great history De La Salle had. It was founded in 1851 and it once being Sir John A. Macdonald’s as his former residence. De La Salle in Toronto is filled with incredible history and we felt honoured to be able to capture Danielle and Daniel’s wedding memories there.

The ladies getting room was naturally lit with sun pouring through the windows so beautifully. They were all enjoying hot coffee and tea while they had their hair and make up done to perfection. Down the hall in the billiards room, the gentlemen were playing pool while they smoked cigars and drank scotch in preparation of the big day. The day was off to a perfect start and it was only just getting started. After some portraits we then headed to the cathedral. Danielle was picked up and chauffeured to the Metropolitan United Church  downtown Toronto in a vintage Rolls Royce, which was quite the entrance.

Once we arrived at the church downtown Toronto we were blown away at how magnificent this church was. It was an absolutely massive cathedral with stunning stain glass windows and tons of natural light coming through the windows. It was a lovely ceremony to say the very least that everyone seemed to enjoy very much. We simply adored that Danielle walked herself down the aisle. It was such a powerful and stunning moment. Once it was over the newlyweds made their way out the big cathedral doors and were greeted by their guests as they were all blowing bubbles and tossing lavender up into the air. It was truly a beautiful sight to see.

When we made it back to De La Salle back up town in Toronto, the guests were all greeted with a nice hot cup of apple cider. It really hit spot seeing as the sun was near down and that cool fall evening began to catch a bit of a chill. During their cocktail hour we were able to capture beautifully unique photos of Danielle and Daniel as we took advantage of the historic grounds of De La Salle.

At the reception the whole room was decorated from head to toe in fall and Halloween decor. The room’s dim lighting really set the mood. They even had an old vintage fire place on one end of the dance floor. The first dances began and at the end of them all there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Right after the first dances the dancing began and everyone got up on the dance floor and joined in on the fun. Just like that the night came to an end and the lovely wedding at De La Salle Toronto was complete. What a day it was. Thank you Danielle and Daniel for allowing us to capture your wedding memories. We loved every minute of it.
